PUISI ARTISTIK 2009

The E7 (ML unit) cluster organized an Artistic Poetry Competition on Saturday, 15th of August 2009. Through this competition, we hoped to nurture the interest and knowledge of the students in Malay Language, Arts and Culture. This will also provide an opportunity for the students to showcase their talent. The competition was held in St. Patrick’s School Hall from 8.30 am to 12 pm. 6 schools took part in the competition and they were Victoria School, Telok Kurau Secondary, Ping Yi Secondary, Pei Hwa Secondary, CHIJ Katong Convent and St. Patrick’s School. The judges of the event included well-known local poetry writers, Mr Ciung Winara and Mdm Norulashikin Jamain.

We are proud to announce that St. Patrick’s School emerged as the champion for the competition followed by Telok Kurau Secondary as the runner-up and Pei Hwa Secondary clinching the third place. Our boys have put in a lot of hours in perfecting their performance. It involved a lot of hard work, but it was definitely worth the effort! Personally, the boys’ performances were splendid and they truly deserved the win! The Patricians are:
